Account deletion

Delete your CarLog data

CarLog has no sign-in and no named account. Credits, usage limits, and purchases are tied to an anonymous device-linked identifier. You can request deletion of the service-side data held against that identifier by email, and you can remove everything stored locally yourself at any time.

Delete local data yourself

Saved maintenance records, original receipt images, and reminder settings stored on your device. Delete an item inside the app, or uninstall CarLog, and that local copy is removed according to iOS behavior. This does not require a request to us.

How to request service-side deletion

  1. Email us at the address below.
  2. Use the subject line Delete CarLog account data.
  3. Include the app name CarLog.
  4. Include the device identifier shown in the app's settings screen, so we can locate the right records.
  5. If you made a purchase, include the Apple order ID so purchase records can be handled correctly.

What we delete

  • The anonymous device-linked identifier and the credit balance and usage limits recorded against it.
  • Product-interaction and diagnostic records tied to that identifier, where reasonably locatable.
  • Other personal data tied to that identifier, unless we must retain it for a limited legal or security reason.

Deleting the identifier also removes any unused credits recorded against it. Those credits cannot be restored afterwards.

What may be retained

Apple purchase, transaction, refund, tax, legal, fraud-prevention, or security records may be retained only for as long as required by law or necessary to protect the service. Apple holds its own copy of your purchase history independently of us.

Cancel a subscription separately

Requesting deletion does not cancel an active App Store subscription. To stop future billing, cancel it in Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions on your device before your current period ends.
