Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 13, 2026
Introduction
The Sky Bringup, LLC ("we", "our", or "us") operates the CarLog mobile application (the "App"). This policy explains what data the current App processes, why it is processed, and the choices available to you.
No account, no sign-in
The App does not ask you to create an account, and there is no sign-in. Credits, purchases, and service limits are tied to a pseudonymous device-linked identifier rather than to a name or email address. We do not know who you are unless you contact us.
Receipts and records
- Receipt image: When you ask for extraction, the text read from the receipt and a reduced-size copy of its image are sent to The Sky Bringup AI service so the draft fields can be extracted. The App does not upload your photo library.
- Original and saved record: After you confirm a draft, the original image and the saved record are stored on your device. Amount arithmetic, duplicate detection, and reminders run locally.
- What a receipt can contain: Receipts commonly show your name, address, vehicle identifiers such as a plate or VIN, odometer readings, and payment details. Do not submit information you do not want processed for the extraction.
Other data we process
- Stable device identifier: A pseudonymous identifier generated for your installation supports your credit balance, usage limits, purchase reconciliation, fraud prevention, and first-party analytics. It is not your Apple ID, and it is not linked to your name.
- Product interactions: Screen views, feature events, and paywall actions help us operate and improve the App.
- Purchase records: Product identifiers and App Store transaction records are processed to verify credit packs, the weekly subscription, and Local Pro, and to credit your balance. We do not receive your payment card or bank details.
- Diagnostics: Technical records may include request status, timestamps, latency, app version, device or session identifiers, IP address, user agent, and error details.
Device permissions and local storage
- Camera: Used only when you choose to photograph a receipt.
- Photo Library: Used only when you choose an existing receipt image.
- Notifications: Used only if you enable reminders, which are scheduled on your device.
- Local storage: Records, original images, and reminder settings are stored on your device. Deleting a record or uninstalling the App removes that local copy according to iOS behavior.
How we use data
- Extract the receipt fields you requested
- Track and apply your remaining AI credits
- Provide purchase access and restore eligible purchases
- Apply service limits and protect the service from abuse
- Measure product reliability and improve the user experience
- Investigate errors, security events, and support requests
We do not sell your receipts or maintenance records, and we do not use collected data for cross-company advertising tracking.
Service providers
- The Sky Bringup AI service: Authenticates requests, applies credit and service limits, routes AI requests, verifies purchases, and records operational diagnostics.
- OpenRouter and the configured AI model provider: Process the receipt image or recognized receipt text you submit to extract draft fields. See OpenRouter Privacy Policy and Google Privacy Policy.
- Apple: Provides the App Store, purchase processing, and subscription management. See Apple Privacy Policy.
Retention and security
Content you submit for an AI request is transmitted over HTTPS and processed to return that result. Your local projects and records remain on your device until you remove them. Operational records, credit balances, and purchase reconciliation data are retained only as long as needed for service, security, legal, and support purposes, subject to the applicable provider policies. No system can guarantee absolute security, but we use access controls and transport encryption appropriate to this data flow.
Your choices and rights
You can avoid sending anything by entering a record manually instead of requesting extraction, delete local records, or uninstall the App. Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or restriction of personal data. See Account Deletion or contact us at the address below. Because the App is used anonymously, we may need limited information from you to locate records associated with a pseudonymous identifier.
Children's privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has submitted personal information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the App, its providers, or legal requirements change. We will post the revised policy here and update the date above.
